INTERNATIONAL SCHOOLS IN SPAIN

When you think about moving to Spain with your children, one of the most important things to consider is your children's education in Spain . The first thing to decide is whether you want them to integrate into the Spanish education system or if you prefer an International School in Spain or even a school that follows the educational system of your home country, what would be the best option if you expect to return to your country of origin before your children will have finished school.

Going to a Spanish school will probably make it easier to integrate in the Spanish community but, depending on your children, may also cause a lot of problems and difficulties, especially in the first years, when your children do not speak the Spanish language. The advantage of choosing an International School is that your children will be educated along with children of many other nationalities, what will certainly open up their horizons.

Apart from International Schools where the classes are held in English and Spanish, you can find many British, French and German Schools all over the Country, especially along the coasts, where a lot of expatriates settled down, and in the major cities. These schools are also bilingual, with classes in Spanish and the correspondent second language (English, French or German). As the pupils of these schools come also from different countries, although the major part will be English, French or German and Spanish children, you can also consider them as a sort of International School . After finishing such a school your children will have the possibility to study at a Spanish University as well as at an University in your home country.

When choosing an International School in Spain there are many things to consider. One important fact is the costs for school fees and materials that may vary according to the school you choose. The other thing is the location of the school and the resultant amount of travelling to and from the school that may cause additional costs.
